Sumner Lake is a historically inspired community that provides the feeling of a small town from the 1800's, with a lake, several community parks and period architectural detail. It is located in the City of Manassas and is named in honor of Sumner Fits

There are small parks tucked throughout the community, the lake encircled by a pedestrian walkway, scenic overlooks to sit and relax, and the central roundabout park offer a setting of warmth, charm, gentility and lush landscaping.

You and your family simply come out and feed duckings or fish. You can spot the turtles sunbathing on the side of the lake. There is an annual Easter egg hunts, Halloween costume parties, and spring picnics held in the Community Pavilion. There is also a small playground for children and a community swimming pool and wading pool..

COMMUTING

• Express bus service to the Pentagon and Washington, DC is at Manassas Mall
• The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Manassas Station with rail service to Burke, Alexandria, Crystal City and Union Station in Washington, DC is approximately a 10 minute drive . At Crystal City you can switch to Metrorail that gives you access to the entire Metro subway system.
